F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler
In 2013 the Australian government announced the decision to acquire a fleet of 12 new EA-18G Growler aircraft from the United States Navy and to extend the life of type for the existing 24 F/A-18 F Super Hornet beyond 2020. As a result the asset management strategy for the existing fleet and a complimentary strategy for the new fleet needed to be designed and implemented. As the Director of Sustainment for the Air Combat & Electronic Attack Systems Program Office (ACEASPO) Andrew was the critical architect in pulling together what is known as the Single Management Framework (SMF). The SMF draws together the Original Equipment Manufactures into co-ordinated management team via a commercial strategy that is based on the pre-selection of key strategic partners and a benefits management approach to the programs outcomes. The program draws together all the asset management elements from structural integrity to financial management and requirements development into a single co-ordinated system.
